Recently Reebok came to ImageBrief with a project that required photographers to capture their in-store promotions (market activation) in eight different locations in US cities. They’re just one of the lifestyle brands using ImageBrief to discover and hire talent previously not in their network. Reebok’s image requirements include product shots, branded lifestyle content, generic (but quality) lifestyle content and of course, big budget productions.

Their usage needs also vary — from worldwide key brand campaigns to social media posts with an ‘on-air’ time of just hours. For this particular job, the images are to be used internally only.

Previously, Reebok hired three photographers from ImageBrief’s directory to source images of their current products for digital marketing. Read more about that here.

The most recent project saw Reebok hiring eight photographers in eight locations around the US. This was the brief:

Reebok just launched the Spring Summer 2016 ZPrint campaign. We have multiple pieces of advertising on Billboards, In-Mall bulletins, Storefront Windows, In-Store Tables, Sky Banners, and Digital Video Walls  that we need photography of. Markets include: Dallas, Houston, Miami, Orlando/Tampa, Philly, San Antonio, Green Bay and New York.  Internal use only. 6 months.

Within a week, Reebok discovered and hired eight photographers. These transactions happen directly between the client (Brand Communications at Reebok) and photographers, and photographers kept 100 percent of the agreed fee.

Here’s what some of those photographers had to say about this assignment:

Emily Frances

IB: Do you think you have built a potentially ongoing relationship with Reebok?

EF: Absolutely! This is actually the second assignment I’ve done with Reebok through ImageBrief so I feel like they’re getting to know me as a photographer better.

Mat Rick

IB: Have you had this type of engagement/interaction directly with a large brand using any other portfolio website?

MR: Definitely not. I try to be active on multiple platforms, but ImageBrief is the only website I’ve used which has directly led to quality assignments from big name brands & agencies.

IB: Was this job something that you would usually do?  If not, why did you take this job?

JR: Not normally but I took it to put Reebok on my resume and the fee paid for my Imagebrief subscription as a founding Premium Photog.

IB: Do you consider it a good opportunity to have worked with Reebok? In what way?

SV: Yes, absolutely.  It’s added a major brand to my client list and was a very simple job.

IB: Have you had this type of engagement/interaction directly with a large brand using any other portfolio websites?

SV: No. I’ve had several other companies with similar business models to ImageBrief approach me to try and get me to license my work through them but I always turn them down.  ImageBrief is the best by leaps and bounds and appears to be an industry leader in this regard.

For the client, ImageBrief provided a way to brief photographers from locations where they do not have existing networks.
