Introducing MyMarketplace from ImageBrief

Migrant workers at the grape harvest in Napa Valley - ImageBrief MyMarketplace

Last year when we first launched our Premium Memberships we did so out of a desire to give photographers opportunities to promote themselves and grow their businesses in a manner that reflected 21st century realities. So much of the photography industry still functions as it did 20 years ago, whereas the buy-side has changed rapidly. Collectively, we have to evolve with it.

Core to the vision for Premium Memberships was giving photographers new ways to promote themselves and their work directly to buyers. We have incentivized this by giving our Founder Premium Members 100% of every sale they make (more on that here), but we wanted to do more. So many of the talented artists within our community develop not just a certain style, but a certain subject they return to and master, and after we fell in love with this collection from Diana Pappas, we knew what we wanted to do.

Introducing MyMarketplace from ImageBrief

MyMarketplace allows any Premium Member to create their own collections and publish them on ImageBrief. For the first time, photographers can create and package content themselves, placing it online where buyers are already looking for it. These personal marketplaces show up in normal search results, so as buyers are looking for shots, they’re uncovering entire collections from Premium Member photographers. Like any sale on ImageBrief, photographers retain control over pricing and licensing; we never sell work without their express permission.

Our Premium Members also receive these exclusive benefits:

  • Find A Pro – their profile promoted to the top of our photographer search
  • PromoteMe – promote themselves to shoot any live brief from any buyer
  • MyNetwork – buyers can add photographers to their network and contact them directly

We’re going to keep adding features to our Premium Memberships, but 100% on all sales and assignment work won’t last. If you’re interested, visit our Upgrade page to learn more (you’ll need to be signed in to see it).

In the meantime, check out the first of our fantastic Premium Member MyMarketplace collections. You won’t believe what you find.
