Creative teams exist for a reason. Creativity thrives on collaboration. Creative teams create an opportunity to bring different skill-sets and expertise to the table, build on ideas and ultimately evolve the original creative idea into a better iteration.
Continuing the theme of “creative duos” on our blog this week, we’re shining a spotlight on the diverse work of the husband and wife photographer team from Dublin, Ireland: Sean and Yvette. We asked them a bit about their creative partnership:
“We met while studying photography in Melbourne, Australia. We became great friends and would often help each other out, borrowing equipment, helping out on college assignments, that sort of thing. Towards the end of the course we became a couple and it just made sense to work together. A year after we finished college in Australia, we moved to Dublin and set up as a business.”
“Make sure you are open and honest—everyone has a different perspective.
Sean acknowledges that while being partners in both their working and personal lives has its challenges, the upshot is having someone on your team you trust. Their number one tip for working as part of a creative team? “Make sure you are open and honest—everyone has a different perspective.”
